Prague lies slightly north of the center of Bohemia. The center is located in the Vltava valley and its tributaries. Their erosive activity shaped a rugged relief, the lowest point is the level of the Vltava near Suchdol (177 m above sea level), the highest is the indistinct Teleček hill between Sobín and Chrášťany (399 m above sea level). In the center is a distinctive peak Petřín (327 m above sea level) with the Petřín lookout tower from 1891.
