1.1 Tooth brush:

Definition: is an oral hygiene instrument used to clean the teeth, gums, and tongue. It consists of a head of tightly clustered bristles mounted on a handle which facilitates the cleaning of hard to reach areas of the mouth.

• Interdental brush
• Sulcabrush
• End-tuft brush
• Denture brush
• Orthodontic toothbrush

1.3 Dental floss: 

Definition:

Dental floss is a cord of thin filaments used to remove food and dental plaque from between teeth in areas a toothbrush is unable to reach.

Types:

-Waxed, unwaxed monofilaments and multifilaments.

-According to its thickness.

-Dental tape.
