Air pollution is one of the major environmental issues around the world.

In this unit you are going to explore the problem focusing on the situation in your area. As well as that you will have to provide some of the most effective ways to cope with the problem.

TASKS

This webquest will lead you through a cooperative work ,your task is to create a presentation concerning the topic. Specifically,  each group has to focus on a particular area. You can choose a PPT presentation, a short movie, an advertisment or a poster according to your preferences.

 1. Information Literacy

2. Discussing, providing arguments, working in groups.

3. Using webtools to create a final product.

4. Presenting group works.

 

PROCESS

Step 1

Look at the pictures/video and brainstorm ideas about the problems.

1- Provide the most suitable definition of the word pollution.

2- Find out at least 5 sources of artificial air pollution. 

3 - Create a mind map or any other visual aids to explain the meaning of the words.

1- Does your country/area face the same problem?

2 - What are the causes? ( write a short text or a mind map)

3- Analyse the following resources and select at least 3 of the most effective ways to reduce air pollution, use any of the graphic organisers you know to        present them.
