  1. Introduction

In this lesson we deal in depth with the subject of advertising. The unit is designed to be carried out in 60 minutes and with students of twuelve years of age.

        1.1. Justification

The influence of advertising on the individual in a consumer society is non-negotiable, especially when it comes to people of formative age. During the lesson the student will be aware of the role that advertising plays in our daily decision making and how we must face it.

Advertising definitely has a high motivating load capable of generating a relaxed and highly creative class environment where applying cooperative work for the promotion of orality in the classroom is highly rewarding for both the learner and the teacher.

In terms of language support, I will guide the students in the use of the L2 with adaptaded material. In the case that the visualization of the video presents great difficulties, certain students will be able to have the transcript next to them so that they can follow the normal rhythm of the class. In addition, when creating the logo, the same way of working in a group helps students with a lower level to participate also in the activity. In this way everyone can reach the goal.

          4.1. Procedure. Activities

The set of activities that are presented below correspond to a sequenced action that contemplates the following steps:

  1. Warm-up activities and activations to know the previous knowledge. Task 1. We’ll be back in five minutes. With it we will know what the students really know about advertising and what ads they remember.
