UNIT OF EMPATHY
empathy is defined as not only the ability to percibe how another human being can feel but also being capable of undestand him taking his perspective. Developing interactions more empathetics promotes feelings of link between human being. Empathy has cognitive and emotional components and allow as emotional states.
ACTIVITY 1: WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT EMPATHY?
Introduction
Being empathetic help us in our relationships to understand what the another person can feel, think or experience within his frame of reference.
We want our students be able to recognize another person emotional and psychological states and promote empathy as part of their social skills
Aims of the activity
- Understand what empathy is it.
- Promote empathy as a tool to interact with others effectively
Activity
The activity will start asking brifely to the student what they know about empathy (what it is, what characteristics have a person who is empathetic, give examples of situations where they had been empathetic...) then we ask them what is the connection between empathy and helping behaviour. When we have observe what previous knowledge have our students about this area,we solve doubts and establish a definition to empathy and empathetic person.
After that, we will watch a short video "Mouse for sale" created by Wouter Bongaerts https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UB3nKCNUBB4 The classroom will be divided in 5 groups for think about the video and then they have to express their opinion about the video and how each character could be reflected in schools.

Introduction
Being empathetic help us in our relationships to understand other people behaviours, emotions combined with the ability to imagine what someone else could be thinking or feeling.
Media are a resoure which reflect differents realities lived in differents parts of the World. Reading news we might be capables of sense and approach to others.
