In this video you can understand the many ways how two circles can have common tangents.

First of all, the author explains the 3 cases that circles can be placed in a plane.

1.   The two circles in a plane intersect at two points.

2. The two circles intersect at one point. 

In this point, we have 2 cases: when they touch externally and internally.     

3. Two circles without contact.

We are going to study how can we draw DIRECT COMMON TANGENTS and INDIRECT or TRANSVERSE COMMON TANGENTS between the to circles.
