CAPTURING MOVEMENT PHOTOGRAPHY

0:02
do
0:09
so let's move on to the third tip
0:11
how to create motion was still photography you know obviously
0:15
I know that you only taking one frame at a time that's the definition
0:18
out a still photo but the problem with many still photos as they can seem
0:22
really static has and there's no
0:24
movement there's no kind attention visual tension in terms of
0:28
motion happening within the frame so it's okay one of my favorite techniques
0:31
to bring a sense of motion and sarcastic
0:34
energy to my shots I'm sure you've probably seen the photos
0:37
love maybe a Formula One race car racing by where
0:40
the car is in focus and and the background is first-rate
0:44
but it you know has the sense of enough speed and energy
0:48
that technique is actually fairly easy to recreate it just takes a little
0:51
practice
0:52
so you an example from my own for typing experience this shot was taken in
0:55
Bangkok
0:56
several years ago and it's a tuk-tuk speeding by
1:00
in from this yellow background so the way that I got the shot was actually
1:04
slowed my shutter speed down on my camera out and
1:07
i sat on the corner and as the type talks went by
1:11
I pan the camera at the same speed that the doctor cuz by
1:15
so that picked october is in focus because the cameras traveling at the
1:19
same speed as the tuk-tuk
1:20
but then the background is blurred because the shutters open for long into
1:24
the background detailed blur out
1:26
and it brings the motion up a tuk-tuk the energy the TalkTalk
1:29
it brings that to the foreground so that's a technique that's worked really
1:32
well for me over the years and you can use it for really anything
1:35
people running you know maybe an animal flying by a bird flying by
1:39
I street traffic all these things you can you can really create the sense of
1:43
energy
1:44
and motion which we get your portfolio nice depth
1:47
and variety that otherwise you wouldn't have

 Stage 2

- Now arrange yourselve in groups of 4-5 and
