TRANSPORTS
This MODULE will include two different lessons:
First lesson
The teacher arrives to the room and starts the lesson with the habitual welcome. It is time to start with the new topic.
The teacher asks the students what kind of transports they know, creating a pre-knowledge list with all the mots.
The teacher shows the students some pictures of real transports,using flashcard, waiting for the response. If they can not remember the name (they may know it only in their L1) the teacher will write it down at the board. These mots will be separeted into the 3 kinds of transport that the teacher wants to teach to his/her students.
Divide the classroom in two groups. One group will work with the computer throguh hot potatoes activities (Activities 1). The other group will use a completion sheet ("kind of transports") where they will write on the underlined space the correct answer. When they finish, we will swap activities.
To conclude the lesson, the teacher will song the farewell song.
Second lesson
The teacher arrives to the room and starts the lesson with the habitual welcome. He/ She asks for the mots learned the lesson before to refresh students memory and review the topic.
The teacher asks the students if they think everybody use the same kind of transport, within matter the country they live in. After few minutes, he/she shows a video with some unusual modes of transportation.
The teacher introduces fast/slow and old/modern adjectives.
- They talk about why they think some are faster or slower than others,which are the fastest and the slowest. The students complete the comparative sheet proposed (Activity 2) individually, and check answers with their colleagues after.
- Old or modern? We realise a hot potatoe activity in big group to recognise which look old and which modern.
To conclude the lesson, the teacher will song the farewell song.
