This is a Clilstore unit. You can .
Hi everybody! First of all let me introduce myself. My name is Laura and I am a
Student of applied foreign languages study programme In the College of Marijampole in Lithuania. I am going to speak about how to speak so that people want to listen. The original source of my speech could be found on ted.com. where Mr Julian Treasure was teaching audience how to speak the right way, so that people want to listen. Mr. Treasure talks about gossip, negativity, lying, honesty, and love in this talk, and how these things impact our effectiveness.
As we all know speaking in front of other people is not the easiest thing. Not all of us can do this either. Many people have the experience that when they speak, people don't listen to them. And why is that? We need to know how to control our voice tone, to get rid of some habits and how to look confident.
All of us have habits that need to move away from them. There could be a massive list of habits, but I am just going to follow up on the 7 habits as per Mr Treasures talk.
How can we speak powerfully to make changes in the world? Can we do this? Yes we can!
All we need is:
The Other extremely important thing of speaking in public is the tone of your voice. Control your voice to make it sound confident. Don‘t speak too fast and too slow. As I have mentioned earlier our voice is like an instrument that we can play with. All we need is to know how to use it properly.
Finally I would like to thank you for taking time to listen to my speech and I hope the speech was interesting and informative.
