Robots Around Us

It is well known that robot arms are very useful for several industrial applications, such as: welding, painting, assembling, pick and place, etc. However, little is known about how they are built and assembled. The first short clip not only shows how an assembly line automatized with robot arms works, but also how they are built and assembled step by step. Moreover, other short videos are included, with the aim of showing some industrial applications using robot arms or any other type of robotic system.

Students have to watch all the videos and are also encouraged to surf the websites related to robotics, which are included in the buttons bellow. After that, they must take the "one minute paper" quiz (note that the document includes the solutions, so it is intended for the teacher).

Finally, a glossary with terminology related to the field of robotics is included.
