WEBQUEST ON TRANSPORT OF THE FUTURE

INTRODUCTION 

Since the dawn of civilization, humans have been on the hunt for more efficient and less labor-intensive ways to transport themselves and their goods. From horse-drawn carriages to electric cars, the history of transportation has seen an incredible amount of innovation. The question is what is the future of transportation and what’s on the horizon for this ever-evolving industry.

TASK 1 - In this task, we’ll take you on a journey through the timeline of transportation evolution.

Read a text about famous inventors in READING and answer following questions:

1. Who built the first car assembly line?

2. Where was the compass invented and what was it used for at first?

3. What is James Watt famous for?

Find 8 future transport technolgies in WORDSEARCH and then read about them and decide which one do you find most useful or suprising or interesting  and tell the group about it. 

TASK 4

The need to cut down carbon emissions has become more urgent than ever. Transportation tech has responded with eco-friendlier forms of transport which reduce consumers’ dependency on oil in favor of renewable energy.  WATCH a video and answer questions while watching

TASK 5

Go to  WORDART green button and create a picture with as many adjectives from the  text from task 3 as you can.

Discuss all PROS and CONS and decide which car ( traditional or electric) is better in your opinion.
