Case 1:

Select the most appropriated communication system taking into account the specific characteristics of Ferdinand and justify your answer.

Ferdinand is 11 year old with mild intellectual disability, in addition to this pathology he has gone losing hearing progressively over the past two years until reaching the cofosis (total deafness). He has a relatively high level of language for the disability he presents and possesses the capacity for abstraction and symbolic thought, despite this Ferdinand has some communication needs that must be covered. Both, his family and his therapists, agree on the importance of providing some tools adapted to his new personal situation.
