Content: 

Understanding others' emotions is a basic human trait. Having empathy for others and wanting to understand them can be improved.  Usually we tend to be more open to understanding others when we are in a good mood. When we are on a bad mood , we tend to be less empathetic for other people

One of the ways we can understand others' emotional state is by the non verbal language. Gestures, mannerisms, looks, expressions… Those are good indicators to know how someone can be feeling.

Having  bonds with people also can help a lot in this task. Putting effort in knowing that person and understanding their motivations can make for us much easier to understand that person. You also need to experience their emotions. Active listening is key for this,

 

Understanding others has been a key adaptive role in human evolution. It has made human groups more collaborative in order to survive. Nowadays this set of abilities will make  you more integrated within your community.

Face is the main indicator of the 5 basic emotions: Sandness, Joy, Anger, Surprise and Fear. Not all the parts of the face have the same affection for each emotion. Eyes get more affection by fear than other emotions.  Eyebrows get more affection from sandness than other emotions. Sometimes if we only pay attention to one part of the face we can get other expressions wrong. How eyes react to fear is similar to how they react to how they affect to surpires or anger.  These reactions can be affected by personal and cultural traits.

Actual emotions are more complex than the 5 basic ones. Recognizing them sometimes requires  some training, caring, listening and attention.  The main tools to do so would been
