Being transparent and being perceived as so is important in the workspace. It makes us more trustworthy, assertive and confident. Transparent communication is the act of sharing good and bad information; upward, downward, and laterally in a way that allows all to see the why behind the words. It is not the information shared, but the way it is shared.

A workplace with transparent communication tends to be more collaborative, with information shared between employees between different levels of the organization. This also leads to more innovative backgrounds, since they get more information and confidence in themselves. In those backgrounds , the sharing of ideas is encouraged.
