Task 3:

When Petra and Kate go back to the hotel they stop at the reception desk. The receptionist asks them a lot of questions. Read their conversation below:

R = Receptionist; K = Kate; P = Petra

R: Hello ladies. How was your day in Valletta?

K: Oh! It was wonderful!

R: Did you see the Tritron fountain?

P: Oh yes, we did. It was very beautiful!

R: Did you visit St. John's Catedral?

K: Yes, we did. It was amazing! The painting of Caravaggio is so beautiful!

R: Did you have coffee at Cafe' Coirdina?

P: Yes, we did. and we had pastizzi!

R: Really! Did you like them?

K: Yes we did. But we didn't like the Kinnie.

P: No we didn't like the Kinnie. It's too bitter.

R: What other places did you visit?

P: We visited The Grandmaster's Palace...

R: Did you like it?

K: Yes, we did. The State Room is amazing!

R: Did you go to The Upper Barrakka Garden?

P: Yes, we did. We really liked the view and we took a lot of photos.

K: I liked the Lower Barrakk Garden, too. It was quiet and very relaxing there.

R: Where did you have dinner?

K: We had dinner at Ta'Nenu's Maltese Restaurant. 

P: Yes we did and the food was so good!

R: It looks like you had a great day! Do you have any plans for tomorrow?

P: No, we don't. We'll think about that in the morning.

K: Yes. At the moment we just want to have a shower and go to bed.

R: Well. Good night, then. See you in the morning.

K & P: Good night.

Task 4:

The receptionist asked Petra and Kate a lot of questions. Most of the questions are in the Past Simple Tense and make use of the auxiliary verb 'to do'.
