Aims of lesson:

1.       Understand the nature of economic activity

2.       Identify the basic aspects of the economic organization that solves the company, as well as the functions that the company develops in the market economy.

4.       Know the different functional areas of the company and classify the activities that are carried out within the company according to these areas.

5.       Describe the economic functioning of the company and the production cycle that takes place in it.

6.       Recognize the different components of the company, applying them to the reality of specific companies

7.       Value the figure of the entrepreneur

Language aims:

1.       Gain the necessary confidence and skills

2.       Consolidate the students oral expression and interaction skill as well as their grammar and vocabulary

3.       Use of the appropriate linguistic exponent for economic class

1.       Searching through internet in order to:

-         recognize and learn new vocabulary

-         consolidate the students’ knowledge

-         improve grammar skills

2.       Watching videos related to the subject in order to improve the students listening skill

Procedure and methods:

1.       Classification and description of the means of production, economic agents and coordination mechanisms or markets

2.       Use graphs to show the relationships between economic agents, value creation and the production cycle

3.       Use of comparative tables for the study and analysis of the different theories about the entrepreneur, the company and the different types of market attending the competition

4.       Classification and differentiation of the different areas of the company and its components

5.       Differentiation of the different objectives of the company and the causes that originate them

6.       Use of concept maps to synthesize the reality of the company and its different dimensions

7.       Application of the different contents to reality through close examples extracted from the media

1.       Define and identify the different resources and economic agents, and how they interact with each other.

2.       Define, distinguish and relate the different parts of the production cycle, the functional areas and the elements that make up the company

3.       Characterize the functioning of the markets and the different types that exist according to their competence.

4.       Explain the causes of the different types of objectives that arise in the company from the social groups that act in it.

5.       Describe the different theories about the company and the figure of the entrepreneur.
