Activity 1

https://youtu.be/sE2GEaQJrwc
We begin the unit with a song to motivate the students, because children always enjoy singing. Through the rhythm and songs children learn vocabulary and structures unconsciously. We hear the song twice. Later, (without music) the teacher says the different words and the students repeat these words. Students repeat each word following the intonation and the stress. We ask the students if they know the meaning of the different words. They must think about the vocabulary related to the topic. Asking a partner: the students have to ask their partner what words They remember from the previous years. This way, the teacher can observe their students’ speaking skills while they interact. This activity allows the teacher to check their previous knowledge.</p<

.- Activity 2: “We can guess”

In this activity children can practice their memory skills and learn the vocabulary more easily, pairing the word with the right picture. In this activity we work with the flashcards and the word cards. The teacher puts on the blackboard the flashcards on the left and the word cards on the right facing the board. In groups, they have to match the furniture with the right word. The teacher gives one point to the group that guesses the name of the furniture. Later, when we finish the activity the students write in their notebook the vocabulary of the unit (word with drawing), with the help of the teacher.

.- Activity 3: “Our house”

This is an attractive activity for children because they have to draw and decorate the different parts of a house and the tems in every part of the house. The creativity of each child can be expressed in this type of activity. We will make a big poster titled: “our house”. To take advantage of their sitting in teams, each group designs one room with their respective furniture. Team 1: the kitchen Team 2: the living room Team 3: the bedroom Team 4: the bathroom Team 5: the study Team 6: the dining room. We write the noun of each room of the house with their pieces of furniture.

.- Activity 4: “The missing words”

This is another interesting activity where children maintain their attention. In teams, they create an alphabet soup, and then they exchange the alphabet soups and look for the different missing words: horizontal, vertical and across positions. All the groups should find the words in all the alphabet soups. Later, we must add new words in our notebook with the other vocabulary.
